What happens at a gathering?

Usually the process lasts 3 hours. In this time, we are doing simple exercises in order to meet each other, we spend time in silence by creating freely (painting, collage, writing, etc.) and in the end, whoever wants, shares thoughts on his/her experience.

How often do you organize the gatherings?

Accepted Answer

The time and the place of the gathering are under the philosophy of 'pop-up events', so everytime we have a new place and time where we held them. Usually they happen once or twice a month. Lately the gatherings are happening weekly.

Do we follow the same process everytime?

Even though there is a classic version to it, there is a chance sometimes to devote the gathering to a new experiencial technique or a collaboration with another professional.

Peach anyone? Gatherings is an initiative from Anna Bardaka. It started in 2016 with a need and a wish to bring people closer in a very simple way and process.
 
Mini bio: She's studied Photography & Audiovisual Arts at the TEI of Athens. She was an active member of the theatrical team of Theater Brama in Poland for one year. She had organized and took 3 Masterclasses in Art Therapy with the MAAT Art therapist and painter. Ioanna Kilimi. She holds a teaching certification in Mindfulness and she a student of the Integrative Counselling for Mental Health at the Psychological Center of Chania in Crete.

What should I expect from the gatherings?

The gatherings are NOT psycotherapy nor Art therapy sessions. It is a collaborative process and everyone is responsible for themselves and the whole team.
